The Department of Computer Engineering, which was officially established in 2008, continues its education and training activities in the undergraduate programme in the field preferred by successful students in ZBEÜ Faculty of Engineering. The name of our university was changed as ‘Bülent Ecevit University’ in 2012 and as ‘Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University’ in 2018, and our department still continues its education and training activities under the roof of the Faculty of Engineering in our Farabi (Central) Campus.

Our department, which admitted students at undergraduate level for the first time in 2016-2017 academic year, started to admit students to the second education undergraduate programme in 2017-2018. There is no Preparatory School in our department and the language of education is 100% Turkish.

The Department of Computer Engineering has a total of 3 departments: Computer Hardware, Computer Software and Computer Science. The laboratories available in our department are Electrical-Electronic Circuit Laboratory, Microprocessors Laboratory and Computer Laboratories.

Our department currently has 7 faculty members including 1 Prof., 1 Assoc. Prof. and 5 Asst. Prof. Our department continues its education and training activities with a total of 14 academic staff, including 7 research assistants. The faculty members of the department reveal their research activities with the articles they publish and the conferences they attend, and they carry out projects supported by our University, TÜBİTAK and SPO.
